What is the ignore list?

Sometimes you may want to keep a particular detected item installed on your system, and do not want Ad-Aware SE to remove them. In this case you can add the entire product, or the desired components to the ignore list.

Note! Items can only be added to the ignore list from the Scan Summary, Critical Objects or Negligible Objects lists on the Scanning Results screen.

Add objects to ignore list

1.

Run a scan with Ad-Aware

2.

Select the objects you want to add to the ignore list in the Scan Summary, Critical Objects or Negligible Objects lists on the Scanning Results screen.

3.

Right click and select "Add selected to ignore list"

A pop-up window showing the number of objects that will be added to the ignore list opens. Click "OK" to continue

   The object is now added to the Ignore list.

Remove objects from the ignore list

1.

Open the ignore list by clicking on the "Open ignore list" link on the "Status" screen

Select the object you want to remove

3.

Right click and select "Remove selection from ignore list" in the context menu or use the "Remove" button
